Albert Einstein and His Quantum Leap for Humanity

One of the greatest scientists of all time was the renowned physicist Albert Einstein. He brought us the theory of relativity, the famous formula E = mc2 which every person, from the age of ten to 110 knows.

He brought us into quantum mechanics as well. He laid that foundation on which the downright bizarre quantum mechanics was born. He couldn’t find a way to ‘finish’ quantum mechanics, but he knew that it was correct, and he knew that it could explain everything. As he said: “I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.” a quote that might explain why he never ceased to work and discover.

Despite failing at the ultimate theory, he at least made the groundwork on which others could build and through which future scientists can get to the ultimate truth.

Without Einstein, physics would still be in the stone age.

The Importance of Quantum Mechanics

Why do we feel that quantum mechanics is essential? Yes, most of us don’t understand it, but that doesn’t negate its importance.

Quantum mechanics on its own has brought us a lot. It changed science more than we can believe.

It became the fundamental theory in physics as it examines and explains the smallest particles and energies we can discover in nature. Classical physics was never able to explain the fundamental blocks of the universe – the subatomic particles that defy imagination. However, quantum physics could.

That’s why we say that Einstein made a quantum leap for humanity, he enabled us to continue to explain quantum mechanics and to go deeper into the building blocks of the universe – something that has traditionally been the realm of the unexplained, of spirituality.

The Bridge Between Science and Spirituality

Quantum mechanics explains so much, that religious leaders all across the world have started to see the connection between science and spirituality – they see it through quantum mechanics.

The Dalai Lama has even said that we need to reconcile science and religion if we want to ensure the future of the human race.

How is this connection even possible?

We can find the answer in many things. Many religions have the concept that we all come from one unifying energy. We are all essentially one. And that can be seen in science as well.

In religion, this unifying force can be Tao, or God, or something else, and in science, it can be the Higgs field. The fact remains the same – both science and religion agree that the unifying force is real – we only can’t explain it yet.

Quantum mechanics shows us that there’s more than meets the eye, it showed us that even the very act of watching could bring about a change in the physical world. That shows us that the world is not as dull and as rigid as we previously thought – something that spirituality has been pointing out since the dawn of rational human thought.

In essence, it seems that science is beginning to explain what spirituality and religion have known for a very long time.

We for one can’t wait what else quantum mechanics manages to explain, and we can’t wait to wake up in the world that has found true meaning and happiness. As Einstein once said: “A calm and modest life brings more happiness than the pursuit of success combined with constant restlessness.”
